Spiritual Thought of the Week

Living in the moment is important: wether crappy or happy, each moment is a gift and we need to take them as they come. In sacrament last February, I quickly wrote the following down on my hand, as the Spirit whispered these words to me. "People change. Circumstances change. Delight in it while you can, and charish it forever.

ACTIVITIES!!!

HAPPINESS IS SINGING TO THE SICK!!

Okay so it doesn't fit in the meter... sue me. But just as a reminder and an invitation, each Sunday we are singing to the sick at the Utah Valley Hospital. We encourage you all to attend! We meet at 6:20 PM every Sunday evening and we sing till 7:30! The hospital has four floors of rooms to sing to and we've just received word that there is also another center across the street from the hospital that rarely gets visitors and needs our warmth and friendship as well. Talk about missionary opportunities! Come join us this Sunday. If we have enough people we can reach them all!! You won't regret it! Seeya Sunday!

YA TEMPLE DAY!!!

Yes sir, it's that week again! Just making sure that you all know that THIS FRIDAY is temple Friday. Those who wish to do Baptisms should arrive at the temple doors between 5:50 AM and 6:00 AM. To do a Session, please meet at the temple doors between 2:50 PM and 3:00 PM. If you can't make it at these times, we encourage you to make it there sometime on Friday! HOW BLESSED WE ARE TO HAVE A TEMPLE! Don't be late!

ULTIMATE FRISBEE

We will be holding Ultimate Frisbee games Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. We're still looking for a place to play so all help is appreciated! I was under the impression that Ultimate Frisbee was a strictly human sport. I guess I was wrong. Turtle got hops... haha. Girls are welcome to come but rest assured that there will be no mercy! .... that was not sexist. :)

Spiritual Thought of the Week

My dear ever so talented brothers and sisters- We must never allow ourselves to lose hope. For without hope, faith, truth, and love cannot prevail, all of which are essential ingredients to our spiritual vigor emotional well-being. Hope is the critical lifeline tonour temporal and eternal success(es): Never allow hope's light within you to become dim.

ACTIVITIES!!

YA Temple Day

Fridays have been deemed YA temple day. Please make a prayerful effort to attend as often as you can. For some, this may be once a month. For others, more or less. Our first YA temple trip Friday is THIS Friday (9-10-08). For those wishing to do baptisms for the dead, please meet at the temple doors between 5:50 AM and 6:00 AM (doors open to patrons at 6 AM). For those wishing to do endowed work, please meet at the temple doors between 2:50 PM and 3:00 PM. If we enter right at 3:00 PM, we should be able to make the 3:20 endowment session.

If you are unable to make either of these times and/or foresee
Fridays as being difficult days to schedule temple work, we strongly encourage you to prayerfully set your own temple attendance goals and schedule so that you may not miss out on the wonderful blessings that can only be obtained through working in the house of the Lord.

Sunday in the Hospital with George

Who knows... he might be there... Any who, If you want to sing to George and his fellow compadres, we will be at the Utah Valley Hospital each Sunday at 6:20 in the east tower lobby of the hospital. We'll be singing to those who stand (or sit) in need! SO... You should come! You'll be sad if you don't! Seeya there!

Here's a map
!!

(You can park in the lot off of 500 west or underneath, and the lobby entrance is in the underground parking)

Ultimate Frisbee!!

Taylor wants to start a Weekly Ultimate Frisbee Game. I don't play very well but I think it's fun. SO... Comment back on what you guys think would be a good time weekly for us to get together to play.
